Photography styles

There are three main styles of landscape photography, some of which are listed below

Representational  – the photos are realistic, but a lot of attention is paid to composition, light, weather and timing.

Impressionistic – photographic techniques are used to manipulate images, but the objects are still recognizable

Abstract style -  the graphic elements in the photograph are composed using close-ups or underexposure, so that the scenery cannot be recognized.

Most landscape photographs are shot using digital SLR and compact cameras. A wide angle lens and tripods are preferred for landscape photography.
