There are three main styles of landscape photography, some of which are listed below
Representational – the photos are realistic, but a lot of attention is paid to composition, light, weather and timing.
Impressionistic – photographic techniques are used to manipulate images, but the objects are still recognizable
Abstract style - the graphic elements in the photograph are composed using close-ups or underexposure, so that the scenery cannot be recognized.
Most landscape photographs are shot using digital SLR and compact cameras. A wide angle lens and tripods are preferred for landscape photography.
